Garmin Nuvi installation

Anyone got to install at a place other than mounting on the windshield.

I thought to putting in top of the ashtray but seem too low. I wanted to hide the wires running and have it below the windshield.

you could put it on the windshield and wire it into the rear view power mirror...

or just gotten the nav since it's better in every way
