Longer ipod/iphone cable

I dont think Infiniti has a longer ipod/iphone cable available so I guess this route will work??

can anyone verify??

I'm thinking of getting a $60 mount for my iPhone and I want to make sure this extension will work before I place my order.

I don't think I understand what you are asking. Are you asking can you run the iPod cable into this dock pictured and then run the white cable shown to your iPhone?

I'm interested to know as well...

How about a simple m-to-f ipod cable extender? I don't think you need an additional dock, you can plug the M end into the ipod and the F end into the Infiniti cable.

SparkFun Electronics - iPod Extension Cable

I don't know anything about the site above, but it looks like they had similar items at amazon. Like:
Amazon.com: 30 Pin Dock Extender Cable-50 cm in White: Electronics

Some of the cables aren't fully compatible with the iphone or itouch, but then again, neither is the Infiniti cable so I think that won't matter.

Yes, my question is...

If I get a 1.5ft. long male to female ipod cable, I would plug it into the oem cable and the other end into my iPhone so it can reach the area between the glove box and center console where I plan on mounting my iPhone.
