Trunk Rattle

Hey guys! I have a 12" sub installed in my G37xS sedan and the trunk rattles. Its not the trunk lid but its more of the back part of the trunk. The vertical part of the trunk that has the latch (hope this makes sense). If I push inwards on the vertical part of the trunk near the tail-lights the rattle reduces significantly. Any ideas on what to do/use to stop/reduce the rattle?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 10" in my trunk and it rattled like crazy. In my case, it was the emergency latch that was way too loose. What I did was put a cloth between the latch and the trunk itself and it solved the problem.

yea I think most of the rattle is coming from the vertical part of the trunk, cause when I do put pressure on the vertical parts near the tail-lights, the the rattle is almost completely eliminated....

I might have to take a look at the emergency latch as well...

Buy some damplifier pro and stick it under the trunk lid carpeting and then put a piece behind your license plate. That should eliminate 80-90% of your rattle.

Yeah remove the pins and get some under there too. Trust me, sound deadening your trunk will help you get more output from your subs and minimize rattle.
