Flash Drives?
i want to put some music on my hard drive in my car and the only two ways are by burning a cd or downloading them onto a flash drive and putting them on that way is that correct? what kind of flash drive do u need to be able to download from your comp to your car. I have USB one i used for things but it doesn't look like it would fit in the slot in the car.

Yea you can get one at best buy...will probably be a bit more. You need a Compact Flash Memory card..2-4 gigs at most. Since it will only play 512 songs.
I think those are the only 2 ways to put them on your vehicles hard drive.

You can't move music from CF to internal hard drive (music box), just so you know. Buy a 4GB CF from newegg, some were as cheap as $15 shipped last time I looked. At best buy you will pay something like $40-50 for the same thing.

do they sell cd's that hold more than 18 songs? so what is the point of having a compact flash drive if you have an ipod hook up as well its the same exact thing if u cant transfer music from the flash drive to the hard drive?

Hi infiniti...use your library. I have 3/4 of my 9.3 gig hard drive filled in just a couple of months. Put in my cdees, borrowed some from my friends, and got the rest from the library which has loads of every type.

re: point of having CF card - exactly my frustration with it, and the reason I ended up just getting a 160GB ipod classic.

Yep, get an ipod and a charge converter. The interface is much better and no songs limit. A 16GB ipod nano is good enough for me although I have like 8GB left.
If CF card could hold more than 512 songs, I'd go with CF card for sure because it's cheaper per GB.

Or get a 7th Gen 160 GB iPod classic - no converter needed. It charges and goes to sleep when using the cable that comes with the car.
