Ipod not connected

Ipod not connected
I have a 2008 G37's
I have intermittent problems with both my 160 gig classic and 60 gig photo, where in the middle of playing songs, the display will read "Ipod not connected"
I know it is not the connection, as it is secure
Most times it will "reappear" after a second or two, but sometimes it takes long
Ant advice is appreciated
Eddie

I get a different reaction. My car doesnt pick up on my 30gb photo iPod for about a min. I start the car and have the XM radio on and song is playing. Then after about a min the radio picks up on the iPod and switches from XM to iPod even when I dont want it to.
Any one else have this? Maybe I have my iPod locked and it takes a little for the car to pick up on it, I will have to check.

I have the same issue with my iPod Touch second gen. But it tends to happen when I have my Scoche Passport attached. Unfortunately, it's the only way to keep the iPod charged, but what's the point when I have to fiddle with the adapter just to keep it connected?

I also have 60 gig photo, same issue, it isn't the Pod
FWiW I took delivery of a 2010 Maxima last night, (wife's daily driver) and was playing with it's USB to Ipod interface - much smoother and more responsive, AND it displays cover art
I seem to remember posts many months back that indicated a new cable was needed for the G, but I didn't receive an answer / update if these "Ipod Connected" problems were fixed by this

i can't tell you how excited I am. just got a used 30GB 5th gen (i think) today for $70. no more connection problems and it's charging without the griffin adapter piece. and it shuts off on it's own when the car goes off.
my iphone had a lot of problems with the connection. this will sit in the console. so happy.

I just have a nano connected, it does that but only when it is running low on battery. So I just take it out of the arm rest that night charge it up overnight and it works perfect until the battery starts dying again.
