Why no DVD-audio?

Hi, 1st post. We just picked up an 09 G37X. Woohoo. Been eyeing this car for over 2 yrs and finally pulled the trigger. Quick question about the stereo - why no DVD-A? I had an 04 Acura TL and it had that option. The sound is great. Just doesn't seem like the technology ever caught on. Is there another reason for its widespread absence?

"SACD and DVD-A were much better formats, but the record labels' half-hearted release schedules doomed the formats from the get-go."

The lack of a truly high end audio option is a big disappointment in the line. Why in the world did Infiniti think Bose was a high end audio company? Everyone knows they're a joke in the audio world. Too bad.
