IPOD Connection Question?

hey guys

Do you have to USE an ipod? I know it has the apple connector - but is there a apple connector adapter which converts it to a USB? then you can use a USB drive? I dont want to biuy another iPod to use in the car and in the gym

It has to be an iPod. I don't think a Shuffle will work since they do not have the dock connector.

..yeah i ended finding a good used Ipod Nano - 2nd Gen for $30

now im laughin! HAHAHAHA...

Just in case people search, I wanted to confirm, an iPod Shuffle of any generation will not work because it is a USB connection.
