I'm having a weird problem with my iPhone 3G against my 2010 G37S 6MT w/navigation. When I first pair the phone with the car's Bluetooth hands-free, the contacts come over just fine. However, subsequently (and I'm not sure if it's the next time they sync or a few times later) the contacts come over as what seem to be GUIDs. If I bring up the handset phonebook, I just see a list of long hex strings (which hilariously enough, the text-to-speech tries to read!). If I fully unpair the phone and the car, things go back to normal for some short time then end up borked again. It's worth noting that I used this phone successfully with my S4 with no such problems for years, so I don't think it's an issue with my phone or my phone's contact list.

Has anyone experienced this? I know there were problems transferring the contact list from the iPhone to the G37 in previous models, but this does seem to be working at least temporarily now. My suspicion is that it's just a bug that needs to be fixed. I imagine one workaround would be to transfer the contact list from the handset phonebook to the vehicle phonebook while it's in a good state, but if there's a true fix I'd love to know about it.
