Just hit the Radio(AM FM XM) button until it shows the XM channel selection, this is the button they use to switch bands. The presets can be set to whichever band you want(i.e.you can have 1-3 preset to FM station, 4 on an AM and 5-6 on an XM. The Preset A-B-C, gives you more available presets.) the 3 month free should have been established by the dealer. Otherwise, maybe the dealer didn't follow through in which case you might have to contact XM directly and give them a VIN to activate your trial period.

My dealer didn't activate my XM radio for me (I forgot to ask...was too excited), so I had to call XM radio and have them activate it with me on the phone. They will ask you to get your radio ID (go to XM channel 0 to see that). They will need your info to create your account, but they don't need your credit card info. Just tell them that you bought a new Infiniti and you want to use the free trial. Then they'll tell you to leave your radio on XM channel 1 for 15-20 minutes UNINTERRUPTED! I accidentally changed channels and I needed to go back to channel 1 for another 20 minutes before I could get the rest of the channels. (you have about 3 hours to do this they told me, so don't worry if you mess up like I did).
