Did this today to fix the same issue. I've had arm rest reupholstered, since the leather cracked. When I got the car back, all windows went up and end up automatically except for drive front, which only went down automatically, but not up. After a bit of search, I found this thread, applied the method, and sure enough, everything was fixed.
