I guess the "wink" means you already know(!), but the red button is a DPST switch to bypass the in-motion navigation and video limitations.

Naturally, I don't want to encourage discussion of the hack itself, but I'll address the button - got it at Radio Shack and drilled it into the blank button between the heaters.

Like so many DIYs, I tried four or five different switches and buttons before finding one that was satisfactory. (Still looking, though.)

This "switch mask" can be removed from underneath the shifter console. I had to reach under and do it blind, but it sorta snaps into (and out of) place with a tiny plastic clip on front and back.

So, you can pinch it to remove (again, from underneath). This seemed like a pretty natural place for it, but finding a switch that fit wasn't easy.

Trust me that it looks better in person than in the pics. You'll see they're preparing for a 3-player Smash Brawl on the NGC; front and back seats.
where did u purchase the console dvd player?

If you did purchase these, how are they doing? I am thinking of going the same route, though i would only need one. Any negatives to them?

Hey everyone....looking at the Power Acoustik headrest monitors....the company is near by my old home in SoCal...I plan to visit and ask if they sale direct....

Wanted to know if anyone has purchased and done the installation. How is the product? How difficult was the installation?

Bottom line are you happy with the purchase?
