cordless radar detector

I see the threads about the radars and the passport and V1 seem to be the top choices. Besides the auto recognition of possible false alarms with the 9500, what is the difference between that and the 8500, besides price and color display?

Also since I have no idea how to wire anything, was thinking of getting a cordless radar so I can just mount it and have no wires and also be able to put it in glove compartment so it doesn't get stolen while on the windshield display.

that is the wireless one I was thinking of getting...any feedback on this is appreciated. Any one have this detector? Should I not bother and go with the V1 or passport?

thanks

using the v1 already and no others...i would go with a v1. the arrows detection is worth the 400 dollars alone.

V1 would be my first choice. Literally the only reason I don't get it and the inviscord is because I don't want to have any reason to have my car broken into. If it is mounted in sight permanently, it is bound to get stolen. My old car (RSX) got broken into two times last year.

If the V1 was able to be taken down from the mount, I would go with that. But there would at minimum be wires showing something is probably in the car worth stealing lol.

Cordless leaves no trace of anything....

8500 with invisicord and mikes mount is a 5 minute install. v1 false alarms and 9500 false sense of security keep me with my 8500. i love it but nothing will beat driving smart.

i have the 8500 x50 and it's saved me countless times... i used the stealthcord to power it through my rear view mirror and unmount my radar when i leave my car... don't want broken window + stolen radar....

^not worth the $ to me personally. id be worried about marking off a spot as a false alarm only to have a cop there get me 1 day. so no point in getting gps. i leave mine up all the time with no problems. and i got the invisicord since its the original.
