Question CD changer and Navi question

Hi,

If you have the Navi option, does it still come with 6 CD changer?

Or

6 CD changer is replaced with 1 CD with Hard Drive option?

replaced 6 disc with only single cd, because of the hard drive as you said.

Infiniti deleted the trunk mounted 6 CD changer in the 09's with Navigation. It's a good thing too since the CD changer got in the way and made things difficult to load and unload in the trunk.

Nope, can't import from iPod. As far as I know, you can only rip music from a normal audio CD onto the hard drive.

This is correct. It will not rip from a burned cd.

G37 with navigation will not have a 6disc cd changer.

Heat, have you tried this before? I just ripped music from a burned CD two days ago.

The car has no way of distinguishing between a burned CD or purchased CD. Neither have DRM, because you cant write a file to a disc with DRM on it.

That's why if you buy a song from napster or rhapsody and check it, it will have DRM. Burn it to a CD then rip it back onto your computer from the CD. You will notice the file is no longer protected.

I tried to burn a burned cd with unprotected music to the hard drive before I even drove it off the lot when the Salesman was helping me set up my car. It did not work. It only worked with a normal cd bought from the store. Havent tried it since because I either use CF or my ipod.

Burned CD's work just fine, as long as it is an AUDIO CD.

Make sure your CD authoring software puts the CD TEXT on there as well, or you're only going to have a time and date for the track information.

External formats CANNOT be imported into the harddrive; something about copyright issues and stuff.

Yep, burned CD's work. I guess I should've been more specific.

+1 on the CD TEXT. Half my songs on my hard drive are time stamps Then again, I only have 20 so I don't care.
