Scrolling through iPod playlists

I have a non-navigation screen.

I have 1,000's of songs and it takes FOREVER to scroll through 200 names the way I'm doing it which is pushing the right/down arrow. Is there something I'm missing? The manual doesn't seem to explain much.

There was a post about making yourself a short cut. There is no Infiniti way of bypassing this, what I've done as well as other members is alphabetize your genre with A, B, C so on to the Artist's name, then if you're looking for a specific artist, select sort by genre and it will list the letters of the alphabet for you to choose.
