Which to go with?

So I can't decide... I'm definitely going to do a basic sound system upgrade with one 10" sub, etc. I'm undecided on which box to go with.

I'm between 4080 or the Zenclosure. Right now I'm leaning towards the Zenclose as with the box for the one 10" sub it gives you plenty of room to mount the amp on the front of the box. Also the Zenclosure is more than half the price of the 4080.

Note: I'm not looking for a "show" look, just clean, which both will easily provide.

What do you all think? 4080 or Zenclosure?

Zenclosure ~$125 (Amp would mount on right)

4080 ~$315 (Would need to find place to mount amp) ** Similar to this ** Pic from G35

I like the 4080 one, but gotta find space for the amp, the other box blocks most of the space of the trunk and losses the function of folding seats....not practical for me....

Yup. I don't use the drunk for much of anything. Only small suff like laptop, groceries or something like that. Rarely do I carry anything that takes up much space.

but you never know when you might need to, why not save a potential problem and get the side mounted sub and mount the amp on the opposing side.

Because then I'll have to build something for the side. The 4080 box is already $315 which is alot for a damn box.

Personally I'm against mounting amps on sub enclosures. You know my preference. Obviously the Z box is a lot cheaper but IMO the build quality isn't what it should be from the one I've seen. 4080 build quality is superb and it uses very little trunk space but costs almost 3 times as much plus no way to mount an amp to it. Act like the baller you are and get the 4080 and get a custom amp rack mounted under the rear deck. Problem solved.

Well there's no chance in hell i'm gonna put $315 in a box so 4080 is likely out of the question... So maybe the real questions is...

1) Zenclosures
2) Save the money for another mod and forget an audio upgrade.

Nah... No intake or exhaust for me. I'll only have the car for another 2 years. Paid off in 2 years. Seriously considering a Cayman S for next car.

Zenclosure looks ridiculous. Do it right, trust me the side fit looks great.
