Hey Max,
Here's a few tips I use and it's what's recommended by JL:

• Turn off Bass EQ and adjust gain/input sensitivity first
• Turn on Bass EQ
• Start with a "Q" of 1.6
• Set the Crossover to 45Hz
• If you're sub is in a ported box, turn on the infrasonic filter. If it's sealed, turn it off

Don't forget that these features only work in LP mode. My final settings for a JL 10w6v2 in a 4080 enclosure are:

• Bass EQ on
• 12 db slope
• Q of 1.4
• Crossover 40Hz
• Infrasonic Off
• RBC-1 Bass Controller installed between heater switches to control boost

Do you think these setting would transfer well to a 250/1 with the same sub and enclosure?

 

The 250/1 doesn't have all of the features of the 500/1 but I would recommend the following:

• Infrasonic off
• 12 db slope
• Crossover of 50Hz

Also, I don't think I'd run a 10w6v2 with a 250/1. It just doesn't have enough grunt to push that sub properly. It would work great with a 10w3v3 or the new 10w0v2.
