Just took my car in for the "technician" to diagnose it... aka a dude to click the button and figure out the presets don't work...
Dealer did give me a loaner for this whole process...(which takes a complete 10 seconds to diagnose). Man, this is inefficiency at its best, but hey, at least I have a loaner to abuse, err, drive...

that's what I meant...
The service consultant got back to me and said they can verify the problem and that the AV controller has been ordered. It comes directly from BOSE so it will take at least 7 business days to arrive. He will call to schedule another appointment for when the part comes in...
This would make it the 3rd time I take the car in for this retarded problem, that takes 2 seconds to ghetto-fix. But it simply annoys me, so why not fix it while the car is still under warranty?

I'm having the same issue! Taking it in tomorrow. Hopefully they will know what's wrong with it and fix it. This is my third time in for service and what not since I got the car in April. Err...

can anyone confirm one way or the other which version of the unit ships as replacement? Is it the one with the complete set of voice commands or the stripped down version...
If it's the stripped down version, I think I might as well ghetto rig it for now... (do the change the preset trick), as opposed to losing the added functionality.
For everyone that had theirs changed, please let us know...
