Questions about aftermarket subs

Hey I'm really new at this stuff so bare with me.

1st The bass in the car isn't really up to par with "my" standards. I want to modify them, whats the best/easy/realiable way to go?

2nd Is it possible to get more bass somehow with out installing a new radio unit? ( I don't know what it is called ) Its like a little box/tuner thing that I heard needs to be installed where your nav is so you can use the new subwoofers.

3rd How much does this cost? I hope under 2.5 grand. ( I don't need blow my ear drums bass but about 20-30% more would be nice )

Thanks!

Oh I forgot, anyone with more bass in their car....do any part of ur car rattle? I assume so and you have to add foam? If so where so I apply some?

( I want to be ready everything I want changed to be ready when I get 09 )

Not likely, you would most likely overpower the subs and cause them to blow. Get yourself a good sub W6 or W3 if you don't want as much bass, a 500.1 Amp and a box. With install you are probably looking at around ~$1200. One sub is plenty in the Coupe, I've had two W6's before and it was way too much. Oh and no rattles, unless I have my sunglasses in the holder, some songs tend to make em rattle but overall, compared to the G35, no rattles whatsoever.

So I have to install the radio thing to not overpower the subs? Wouldn't that look ugly in the beautiful interior?

No, you can tap into output from the Bose amp going into the sub amp. That way you can have the full stock system and just add a sub.

Get a 4080 enclosure ($350), an amp (JL 250/1v2 $250) and a sub (JL W3 or 6 for $150) + installation = <$1,000 and it's pretty nice sounding. Look in the 4080 thread for some nice pics of the installations...
