custom enclosure
custom enclosure
I spoke with my shop yesterday. They said they can do a custom fiberglass for about the same price as ordering pre-made.They also mentioned about painting....instead of carpet....I think it would look sick....the enclosure matching my exterior.I just need to decide if to go with 2 subs or 1 and where to place them.I am more leaning toward 1 across the rear.Any suggestions?
Depends on what kind of look you are going for. If you want to keep a nice clean "stock" like look, go with something with carpet otherwise if you want something a bit more show, go with a nice FG enclosure color matched to your car. Either would look good IMO.
Fiberglass will look good, but it will not sound as good as a solid MDF box, if you want the best of both worlds, try going with the mostly MDF and just have them put a fiberglass face on the box to do molding and painting. All the bling bling completely fiberglass enclosures are pretty to look at, but your mostly buy the speakers for sound so wouldn't you want it to sound good as well.
