Infiniti Ipod Control
From what I have seen anytime an ipod is connected to the supplied cable the Infiniti symbol appears and the ipod itself loses all control. This still appears to happen the the source is switched off of "ipod mode"
I wanted to take the supplied ipod cable and splice into the cable and conncet three wires with RCA jacks to the corresponding Audio (L&R) and Video wires according to the connector pinout (http://ipodlinux.org/Dock_Connector). This way the ipod can remain connected and charging while having the option to play video without changing connections. Also not paying $50 for the ipod composite AV cables.
This would work if the ipod resumed control after switching the Head Unit source to AUX for video.
If anyone has additional info that would be great.

You can use a cable such as this along with a USB charger to accomplish this without having to hack up the car, iPod, or factory iPod cable.

I'm a prospective g37 buyer, and I was curious if anyone has used the iPhone on the g37? If you plug it in to the audio system as an iPod, can you still make/receive calls using Bluetooth?
