Stash for the Intel Key

Got so bored today that i decided to read the manual for a while. Just as i was starting to get a headache i got to the section about the spot near the VDC on/off switch that is made to put your intelligent key in. At this point i was sick of reading so i kind of skimmed through it but dont really remember any of it now.

Is that slot for use only while you're in the car? or is it meant to be a place to leave your intel key while the car is parked and you're off doing something else. I've always just left the key in my pocket..

No that spot should only be used when you're in your car. DON'T Leave your key in there when you are not in your car. That spot is also used when your intelligent key loses its battery and your car cannot tell you have the intelligent key. You put your key in that slot and it lets you start the car.

You should have told him "Oh no, you've just activated the SELF DETONATION DEVICE!!!"

You shouldve told him thats what the dealership uses to demagnetize or deactivate keys when cars are sold back or traded. Then told him that he would have to buy you a new key since he broke it

^^ actuall that would be a cool idea. No need to worry about a dead battery. Have a rechargable key fob.

I just found this the other day too. I've actually started using it occasionally when I have a lot of stuff in my pockets. The G does not have a useful/big enough center console area to dump stuff in and I hate driving with a bunch of stuff in my pockets.

Will we be warned when the battery is running low on the key fob? Hope so.
