i believe the w6 and w3s require the same amount of air space. installed the 2 w3s yesterday and it sounds great. perfect for me. i cant even imagine 2 w6s haha. i asked the guy if stuffing the box would help and he said not with these subs. it sounds great to me!

the only thing was he said i need a capacitor. the lights start flickering when i turned the volume up past a certain level and the bass would stop hitting. he said the amp was drawing way too much current. i dont know if thats normal or if its cause of the amp i got or if it was the setup. i believe he hooked it up through the rear deck speakers. my friend also suggested an optima battery. what do you guys think?

Thats not right... your amp shouldnt cut off... the bass shouldnt cut out...
Is your amp going into protection mode?
something is wrong with your car/installation/amp/subs something...

I have a single 10w6v2 and 500/1 v2 and it hits hard and already overpowers the stock stereo, I am thinking 2 of them would murder your stock stereo, but that is just my opinion. Right now I am using a box I got from the place I got my 10w6v2, waiting on my 4080 box.
Agree, 10W6's on Z enclosures do not sound too good. I have tried the 10W3's and they sounded much better. Make sure to match the volume AND the amplifier power to the sub you are getting.

Im having right now a 4080 enclosure w/ 10w6 and a 500/v2. Replace the Bose 10" subs on the doors w/ JL Audio C5-650x and JL Audio VR690-CXi on the rear (Bose speakers replaced also) amp with JL Audio 300/4v2 & JL Audio CL441dsp included. Is a huge change. The set up is perfect for now. Planning on getting a 12w7 w/ 1000/1v2 soon.

They can't make a 12" for our car because of the space limitations. I'm with you on wanting another for the passenger side though. Unfortunately it's on the back burner while the box for the sedan is in development.
