I totally disagree... driving on a 45MPH street, it is very easy to catch your self doing 55-60...

So far the stupid thing is a nightmare. Its so freaking annoying and beeps at anything and everything. I was sitting at an intersection with no cops and it was going nuts of a bogey counter reading of 9. I had a CVS, Walgreens, gas station and some other strip center on the 4 corners.

The drive only got worse. I ended up just unplugging it and putting my Bel Vector 995 back up which occasionally beeps at random stores/hospitals.

Am I doing something wrong? What makes it so sensitive to the lightest signals? I thought it filtered out the questionable signals and only alerted them when the signal strength increased?

Thanks!!!
If X band isn't used in your area, disable it. Set up your K band automute like the guy does in this thread.

I would also print this out and put it in your car.

There are big problems with the new Escort 9500i and the majority of people are returning them because of less range than the Valentine One.

http://www.guysoflidar.com/march-200...ctor-test.html

They are locking out signals from door openers and the 9500i is not alerting to cops that shoot radar in that area. Owners of the 9500i are also complaining that signals that they lock out are not staying locked out from the day before. They also say that their Sirius/XM radio is cutting out because of the 9500i and its GPS function.

This is a video of the 9500i failing to alert to actual police radar because of its flawed technology.

Each to their own. Everyone has an opion on what is the best and each detector has it's pluses and minuses; remember that.

Maybe in Cali.. Streets in NY are too conjested. Yes youll speed, but the cop isn't going to radar you around here. There too much going on and not enough open space. Hell have to pace you behind. Plus the fact that we have millions of lights and intersection the v1 doesnt shutup. You need a good radar and a good jammer.

That would be awesome! I've killed the X and K band and so far the radar is what I expected. Just today on my way to work, I got a Ka band reading at around 24th street. A squad car was 'incognito' behind a fence with 2 bike cops ready for action. They were at 50th street intersection. I had more than enough warning!!!

The problem with the 9500i is if there is a cop using X or K band in an area where you have locked out signals, it will not alert. There is no way to lock out Ka band signals on the 9500i.

You can't run two detectors together and get accurate results.

People are turning off there X bands on there V1 anyways... and i have never had to lock out a K signal... the cop would have to be sitting EXACTLY where the signal is anyways because of the GPS... Each person is going to have there own preference... i prefer the 9500i because i do a lot of city driving...
