ripping to music box faster than real-time?

How is this done? I put a disc in and hit record and it started playing the music. Isn't there a faster way to dump a CD to the drive?

NO, BUT, you can switch to AM/FM/XM or the Music Box while it is recording so you don't have to listen to the CD play from 1-4 songs.

Have some patience dude!! You will quickly see that being able to record 50+ CDs (how ever many the max is) and being able to shuffle through albums/songs with the music box is far easier than changing CD's. It only take about 12 minutes to record a CD. I usually stick a few in my car while I'm getting ready (no more than 5 I have tried so my battery wouldn't die) and I love the Music Box. I too was disappointed that we only had a single disc CD but now I'm glad I have a Hard Drive rather than a 6-Disc or even a 20-disc!

How can it record a CD in 12 minutes if it has to do it in real-time? Most discs are at least 45 minutes long.

Hrrmmm. I must be doing something wrong. It's just recording in real-time.

EDIT: n/m.. just realized it recorded 4 songs while I was listening to the first.

yeah, it takes about 10 mins per cd. i leave the car outside the house, go inside the house, burn a cd. get a drink of water, go outside, and the first cd is done, or on the last track. rinse and repeat. do this every night for the first week, and then you have prob put all of the mp3's you have on your comp onto your car. very simple. with the key lock thing, it is very easy. leave the car on the ON position, car does not need to be running. just put in a cd, hit the record thing, leave the car, lock it, go into the house, burn the next cd, take a leak or something, go back out, and swap it.
