Worked like a charm for me.

The $77/year deal is still in effect.

Anybody have any luck getting a low price on XM & Sirius channels together?

They are already offering 50% off the "Best of Sirius / XM" package (3 months free on 6 month contract).

With the channel merge happening on the 12th, along with the release of some of the first ala-carte capable receivers, they may be revamping some of their pricing / specials. Will be interesting to see.

Indeed, I'll keep an eye out. I may have to call and start haggling for some sort of deal like the one bfranks mentioned.

Just to clarify. I went back and found the ad. That deal is packaged with a new radio purchase. Sorry for the confusion. Damn fine print

Think I just got the $77 promotion again. It took 2 calls. On the first attmept I spoke with a young caucasian gentleman that told me that I would not be able to take advantage of the promotion, because I used it last year. On the second attempt, I spoke with a middle aged hispanic woman that allowed me to use the 'zwinback code'. Awesome. Good until 12/2009.

they are without a doubt still taking $77 per year, i was tempted to try for a lower price if I was actually going to resubscribe then and there, this was conversation...

XM: Hi, this is Julie from XM, may I speak to the owner of the infiniti g37?
Me: Yes, Speaking...
XM: As it appears your XM trial is about to expire, would you be interested in renewing your subscription for 12.95 per month.
Me: Someone told me there was a $77 for a year offer, would it be possible to use that offer?
XM: Absolutely, I just to verify some information and we will get you signed right up....
Me: Actually, I think I should wait until I am able to use the vehicle before signing up for it.
XM: OK, there may be a 14.99 reactivation fee if you wait, but most of the time they will waive that fee.
Me: OK, thanks for your help.

You can get just the traffic, but it's like $9 a month when not bundled with the radio package.

^^ Agreed. Or you can get XM Radio and Not Traffic which is what I have because I hardly ever used the Traffic Reports.

If you just want to use the traffic for navigation, I think the package you are looking for is XM Nav. Only costs like $3 a month I believe. Go to the XM website, and type in your radio code. You will see the pricing
