i love the walk away lock and auto lock. on my 07 vette when it does not detect the key the car automaticaly locks and activates the alarm. its very nice b/c i dont have to worry about locking my precious vette. it does it for me. im sure there will be sulotions to this in the near future though. so just be patient and it will eventually come.

There is a movement sensor that disables the nav when the car is moving, I am sure that it would be easy to jack that signal and make it lock. I miss this too. I retrofitted my acura to do this.

You guys have a key fob for christs sake.. If you can't just reach into your pocket and press the lock button while you're walking away, something else besides your car not "auto locking while you walk away" is terribly wrong. I'm sorry guys but that's just laziness.

Luxury == Lazy? Anything that de-complicates life is good. You apparently have never had your hands full when walking away from your car. Ever spilled your drink fumbling for a key fob?

^^How is that laziness? It's a convenience feature that would be nice. Just like having a push button start, power windows, locks, adaptive cruise, auto climate control etc. All of those are not necessary, but nice to have.

Yeah, nice to have I understand that, but people just want everything automated for them and make it seem like their handicapped and cannot do it their self anymore.

I don't have auto door locks, so for me, having a key fob that does what the Intelligent Key does would be a dream come true. I could care less about auto this, auto that.. But I guess for all of you owners and owners of new cars, you've been spoiled for so long, this is the result of it.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a nice feature, trust me it would be.

It's not win/lose. I respect your opinion no matter how wrong you are.

He he. That was funny ya gotta admit. No offense.

It is in the nature of car nuts to ask "what if". That's what drives the industry. We brainstorm about the next best thing, and don't think that infiniti isn't listening.

There are cases where you wouldn't want your car to unlock in your vicinity. But then we could just push the button to lock and it would stay that way. If you just walked away, it would lock and then unlock when you approached.

Well if it makes you guys feel any better, I'll contribute. The Audi has remote start from the factory, a long with auto lock, rolls up or down windows, etc

Yeah, I liked remote start, when I lived up north all my cars had to have it along with AWD.

It just doesn't make sense to me that they would make it roll down, but not up. Not rolling up makes rolling down less that useless since the mechanism has so much delay that it is almost impossible to get the windows where you want them and then, you have to walk to your car, open the door, turn on the car, roll the window where you want it, close the door, lock it and walk back to where you were. Worse than useless in that case.

It is only useful when you are walking to your car and want to cool it off before you get there. Not if you want to remotely adjust the interior ventilation accurately. What if it starts raining? You have to get out in the rain.

I will probably make the roll up happen. There is this module....
