THAT SUCKS - why wouldnt they have left that there. Even my Dad's 2000 Lexus does that and it's awesome how it moves out of ur way. I mean it's just programming - it doesn't even add much cost....LAME...

I know the demo I was showed had all of these features too. I didn't think to record the VIN tho. Are these cars not capable of being reprogrammed to add back the removed commands?

They are without a doubt capable of being re-flashed with the firmware that has the said commands. Infiniti could do this without blinking. Its pathetic that they are not offering the service to any Infiniti owner that wants to use the commands. Outrageous

I couldn't agree more... It's so, I bet we have the features they are just disabled.

I was told by Infiniti that in order to get the features to work they would have to replace the AV Control Unit, the ECU and other hardware. Now I just don't really trust "Salesman" anyway, but see if you could find out any different info.

That is complete and udder bull****. The ECU def. does not need to be replaced, nor does ANY OTHER HARDWARE. The only reason they would have to replace the AV unit would be because the dumbasses at infiniti didn't build in a way to update the software/firmware on the AV unit, which is also udder bull****.

Or the mechanic/technician at that dealership is not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do the upgrade. This is absolute nonsense though if you really think about it. Would Infiniti really buy/make new hardware for their G37 that is different than what is in the first production of the car? No! Instead they would just lock out the commands or remove them for the voice-command software.

I have complained to ICA as well and have been assigned a case number. The more complaints they receive the more likely they will rethink the command deletions.

If you were demoed a car that had these features and bought your car thinking you'd have them, you should complain as well:

I bought my car, fully anticipating it having voice commands for climate controls and the entry/exit steering wheel. My salesman told me that I could turn the entry/exit steering wheel on in the "comfort and convenience" menu, but its not there. I don't have the climate voice tags either. My window sticker says "voice recognition HVAC". I have already addressed that with the dealership and they are supposedly working on it- now tomorrow, I'm going down to address the entry/exit steering wheel issue that I thought my car would have, that the demo car had. Let the fun begin.

Completely random thought-

In the "Service" menu that some have explored by holding a button down and turning a control **** x number of times, is there or could there be a way to re-activate the voice tags that were shut off and also re-activate the exit/entry seat? Like I said, completely random thought. Its too cold for me to go out to the car and check it out. I spent an hour making the key hole cover disappear and installing LED's in the car and that was all of the cold I could tollerate.

i think that this might have been brought up by one post

Add-Ons - Don't think there will be any additional features from 08-09. In fact, they've already reduced the voice control features from the 1st-2nd production line '08s. People who purchased their G37 when it first came out have more features. If they are planning to put the side mirror camera on I doubt it would be '09, and its just something that can be added for a couple hundred to an '08, or so we think.

I'm working with my dealership about the missing voice commands and the missing entry/exit seat. Both of those things were present in the demo car that they gave me for a day to play with. If they don't come up with a solution, i am going to call Infiniti and complain.
