How to make the CF card sound better

Sorry if this has been posted already, I looked around and didn't find anything related.

I've been noticing that the CF card seems to not use the Bass as well as other sources of media. I'm not sure if this is because of the system or the mp3s. I know the Mp3 sounds just fine on my computer. Anyone has similar experiences?

you'll prob find that rippiding cd's to the cf card uses more compression thus less dynamics than what you might find with a cd or file ripped at 256kb +

I see. I guess in a computer there are more tricks to do to make it sound better. Since I think my files are at 198kb/s
