A merger would be a huge win for Howard Stern. If you don't think there are special interests groups who realize that a merger would make Howard Stern even more powerful than he already is in radio you're in denial. Many financial experts have already gone on record as saying if Stern were not involved with Sirius the deal would have already gone through. Major oil companies have merged quicker.

 

I know this post is old, back from August, but this statement is completely inaccurate. It's called a Merger that will combine both XM and Sirius together and will cancel out some channels between the two that offer the same style and genre of music.
