What's New for the 2010 G Convertible

Saw this on my local dealers convertible page.

"G Convertible receives freshened interior styling (automatic transmission-equipped models only), although it retains its distinctive Silk Obi aluminum trim.

The following features are now standard on all G Convertibles:
Power fold-away function for outside mirrors
• Auto-dimming rearview mirror
• Homelink® Universal Transceiver
• Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System
• USB port

New exterior choice Graphite Shadow replaces Platinum Graphite. In addition, a spare tire and tools are now available as a factory-installed option (previously a VPC accesssory). Vehicles equipped with the optional spare tire do not come with the tire repair kit. "

It would be nice to have the power fold-away function for the outside mirrors on the 09.

There were no mentions of the NAV update, just the standard features for 2010 on the vert. I assume there is a NAV update across the board. Yeah, the mirror and optional factory installed spare tire is what would have been great first out. I wonder spare tire can be added later?

Dealers offer a special spare tire for the '09 by retrofitting the bottom trunk area for about $700+ dollars. My saleswoman suggested to just call roadside assistance and not deal with the flat tire and the compressor supplied with sealant.

Cool! Yeah, so road side assistance is good, but it depends and here is why it would be good to have the spare + roadside assistance.

On year years day on the highway I hit some hidden road side debris, which resulted in big hole in the left front tire and no real repair option. No dealer service departments were open, no tire shops were open and the gas station I stopped in after safely getting off the highway did not carry my size tire. So of the 2 road side assistance providers Infiniti referred me to, one was also closed for new years day. The best they can do is tow to the nearest dealer to drop the car off.

I would have preferred a spare and have it changed by the road side assistance provider and running on the spare for convenience.
So I had AAA tow me home to roll out in the sedan and to the dealer the next day on a continuous tow.

So I'd be wary of major holidays and using road side assistance, without a spare. But what are the odds of that happening again? It remains to be seen.

This is why my dealership is on 24-hour call so someone can come aid in case of an emergency with a spare tire. We thought about it and not all convertibles came with spares -- or even some coupes with aftermarket wheels to have a spare fit over the wheel.

the new nav will be updated into the convertible...
also rear sonar sensors added into the G37 convertible, power folding mirrors are helpful but not necessary.
it will also have the deletion of the AFS.

2009 G37 convertibles all had the upgraded ACCS climate control system .... 2010 convertibles automatic require the tech package (and 6mt's can't get tech pkg no more).

Do you know if they are upgrading the cluster like the sedans? Also, when are the 2010's getting to the dealerships?

Cool.I'm not sure if my dealer is that pro-active.

The power folding mirrors would help when I'm picking up mail from my mailbox , assuming they can be operated manually and not just when the car is in park and off.
