REGISTRATION DEADLINE and NEW INFORMATION

Hey everyone,

We are getting very close to the August 14th, 2010 Cannonball Rally start date, so make sure you register for the event before the cut-off date as you must register for the event beforehand. Our Co-Sponsor, Powertrix, is hosting the payment through their website. If you have any problems, please contact Charles at 619-944-6055 or email him at cpark@powertrix.com .

Please note only registered cars can participate in the Rally. If you are planning on attending the SDZ32 Cannonball Rally, don’t wait until the last minute. SORRY NO DAY OF THE EVENT REGISTRATION!!!!

DEADLINES

T-shirts & Registration deadline Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 10:00 pm: $35.00
Very Last day to Register is Friday, August 13, 2010 at 8:00 pm. $25.00

What You Need To Know:

• All Drivers must have a valid registration and drivers license at check-in (a co-pilot is highly recommended)
• You must have a working digital camera, you will be required to use it during the Rally (Cell phone cameras are OK)
• All vehicles participating must be manufactured by Datsun, Nissan or Infiniti
• Start time: 9:00 am on Saturday, August 14, 2010 (Registration opens at 8:30 am Don’t Be Late)
• The winner will be determined by total points
• The Starting Point will be where last year’s Rally ended, Miramar Speed Circuit located at 8123 Miralani Drive, CA 92126.
• Top three will be awarded $$$CASH$$$ prizes.

I think it's $25 for you + a co-pilot since it says co-pilot will receive lunch too under the $25 option. Very cheap for an event like this. Once I figure out which co-pilot I want to bring, I'm signing up. I think there's gonna be some old-school cars. It'd be nice if newer Gs showed up!

I hope they are under the 25 dollar package.
yeah I need to figure out a good co-pilot that knows the roads and such lol
Or I might just bring my bestfriend for company hahaha.

Once I decide everyone i'll most likely register. See everyone there

I'll contacted them and here was the response - so everyone understands
Your one paid registration covers participation and lunch for both you and your navigator.

There are 2 options for registration:

With t-shirt
And
Without t-shirt

If your navigator would like to have a t-shirt, it would have to be ordered separately and we do have an option for that as well in form of a paypal "buy now" button / link.

Hello All,

Just a reminder that the deadlines to Register are approaching fast.

DEADLINE FOR T-SHIRT ORDER: WEDNESDAY AUGUST 11TH, 2010
After Wed. the 11th, t-shirts with no longer be available

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: 8:00pm FRIDAY AUGUST 13TH, 2010
There will be NO DAY OF THE EVENT Registration.

Also here are some FAQs

How long will it take?

We estimate the completion of the event to be in 3.5-4 hours

How much is the cash prize?

1st, 2nd and 3rd cash prizes are determined by how many entries we have. Last year there was 20 competitors and 1st place took home approximately $150.00

Are any other cars besides Nissan-Infiniti-Datsun allowed to run in the event?

Unfortunately NO. The event is vehicle specific.

Can I use GPS or any other device to help me out?

Absolutely, any and all forms of technology are allowed.
I.E: computers, internet, GPS and even as low tech as pulling over and asking a local for direction.

I am still not sure on my co-pilot once I figure it out I will register, most likely.

So basically you have to go from rally point to rally point all through-out San Diego, right?

oh, will I have to record the whole trip or something? My camera only records for 1 hour :[
maybe i should start asking for other people's camera haha.

I believe you only have to take picture of the check points to show that you were there. I don't think you have to video tape the entire trip.

I should be signing up early this week.
