I will admit this is a very nice detector. I used the Valentine 1 for 3 years Prior to this one and I love how quiet this one is.
The v1 is constantly going off because of false alerts.
However this thing is $367.74 brand new with 2-day prime shipping not used from amazon

I bought mine used last month for $240 on Craigslist also blue display.

Ok, good info but check this out:
1) Buyers are completely at liberty to do their own research and then hit me up with their best offer. $399 was my starting place...OBO gives the buyer latitude. That said, I'll drop the price but NOT to $240. Rarely used and in immaculate condition.

Good detector. Has saved me a number of times. Common sense is needed too. Don't be the leading speeding car while out of state. Got popped in NC some years back. Wasn't even speeding by chicago standards (71 in 55 will get you run off the expressway around here). Learned a valuable lesson.

Yep, yep...we get so busy building SPEED and handling in our cars that we don't invest enough in good stopping power or radar detectors. Good points you made!
