In Dubai, looking for G owners

Hey all,

Doesn't seem like anyone is here but I'll post up in hopes someone responds, . Name is Wil, I've been in the UAE for 6 weeks now. Haven't brought the G over yet but considering it. I've seen a few nice G's driving up and down Sheikh Zayed Highway (#11) between Dubai and Abu Dhabi as I live in Dubai but work down in Abu Dhabi area (Zayed Military City). Just looking to make contact with fellow G owners and catch some of the local car gathering that I hope goes on over here. By the way whoever has the lowered G35 coupe here with the black rims and aftermarket exhaust, car sounds sick. I was tailing you one day in a white Hyundai Sonata.

Hey Will,

Welcome aboard! There's a few of us on here actually and you should definitely get your car over here.

Half of Dubai works in Abu Dhabi, so the highway turns into a Nascar speedway in the morning (AD Bound) and at 5-8pm (Dubai Bound)

G37 Convertible owner in Dubai

Hi... Just picked up my almost new g37 convertible, great fun but too hot to drop the top right now

Anybody able to help me with a few localized questions:

Is there map updates for the middle east - gps thinks there is a roundabout on jbr in marina???

Any local suppliers of aftermarket parts? Not sure I want to on an almost new car to be honest but worth knowing my options locally.

Is the tuning chip UPREV any use on a stock car if I don't modify air and exhaust...

1. Google "Infiniti GCC Navigation dvd"
2. Buy everything for your car online from the us/Japan. Local aftermarket parts are few and quite expensive.
3. Not really worth it on a stock car

Great, thanks guys for the quick response.

Will probably leave it stock for now until its done a few more km's then look for a better flow exhaust system.

Regarding the GPS maps i have the HDD version of the GPS - is this the same update as the DVD version do you know??

Thanks again
