So i bought this oem midnight grill.

i installed it tonight. all is well but my oem emblem that was on my chrome grill the car came with doesn't fit the midnight grill. The emblem appears to be smaller that snaps into the midnight grill. Anyone happen to know what the part # is for the grill emblem to use with this midnight grill?

I've ran into that problem as well. What year is your vehicle? It's newer than an 09 due to the shape of the grill. I bought mine on E-bay but I'm sure there are some vendors on the website that sell them. I have an extra one that didn't fit on my grill it was too big not sure what year it's for though..

in the sedan, there are 2 sizes.. one that fits the 08-09 sedan and one for 2010+ sedan....

Whats said above, What years your car the listing says 2010-2012 sedans.

Yeah OP let us know what year your car is. I have a 2013 and been eyeing this grill for sometime now, don't want to run into the same issue

According to the OPs profile he has a 2011. I ordered the same sport grille from that Ebay seller and didn't have any issues at all on my 2011. This is really weird. Pics?

hrmm odd. ill take some pics tonight. im going to stop by a dealership after work though and ask to buy it from them.

is the 08-09 sedans the smaller grill emblem and the 2010 + grill emblem the larger one? or vise versa?

i would imagine i had a 2011 grill but maybe i didn't..

One grille for the 2007-2008 G35 Sedan and the 2009 G37 Sedan.
One grille for the 2010-2013 G37 Sedan and the 2015 Q40.
And one ring to rule them all.

Didn't know the grille Fuji was different between the two, but not surprised. What doesn't compute is the OP having a 2011 with a Fuji that doesn't fit his eBay grille.

So after much mystery at the dealer... I have good news.

I have an emblem for my grill.

I must say the parts manager was very helpful and even got a tech involved and we pulled the car in the garage to shed some light on the unsolved.

The emblem i needed turned out to be a 2011 emblem. Year of my ride...(after trying a couple different ones)

I believe now that i had an older year grill that required a wider emblem.

Took some pictures of the chrome grill and emblem that were on my car.

Now the theory......

Before purchasing my car i ran an auto check report and car fax. Both came back clean.

I was told the car was one of their loaners before purchasing it. So my theory is that it had some front end damage at some point and was never reported by the dealer (why would they? )

It was fixed and done right because its gotta sell and look clean. Ive had the bumper off by the way and everything looks money.

So thats my theory and the possible mystery solved.
