Oil Change At Dealer Under Factory Warranty

Hi everyone. I recently purchased my g37x in January and its coming up on the 3750 mile oil change. The leith mitsubishi dealer where I got the car is going to give me a free first oil change but not sure I trust them. Do you all recommend to forgo that and just get it done at the Infiniti dealer? The car is under basic warranty until August and I already had them replace a battery for free in July. Just not sure the if the cost is worth it to get it done at the dealer as I would also want to do a tire rotation to. Thoughts on dealer versus independent shop while under warranty?

Perhaps it's not a direct answer, but my thoughts are that I would never have bought a used car from an establishment that could not be trusted to perform a simple oil change and tire rotation.

Good point. Ill go to them for the free oil change...now when to switch to synthetic? I will do the tire rotation at a local independent shop as its no use to pay dealer costs for that.

My car purchase came with a free oil change too. I redeemed in the form of a nissan oil filter + 5 qts nissan ester oil 5w30. The salesman had a strange look on his face but figured if that's what it takes to close the deal, why not....

Considering that many dealers go through a detailed list of items they check, even for a simple oil change, often for items a non-Infiniti mechanic might not even know about, I suggest an Infiniti dealer.
