Not that this isn't a pet peeve of mine as well... but if you're using a phone or tablet, it can be a PITA to delete large blocks of text.

+1. It's the worst way to ask a question lol

Zdayz last weekend was awesome. I don't want to clutter the thread with non-sedan stuff but here is a pic or two of me and the soho guys. I'm in the 350. Will post a video link just for ****s and giggles later.

Also, not having an airbag was pretty sketchy for a 4 hour drive and some spirited mountain driving haha

I hadn't considered that. Still irritating, though.

I think the mobile version of myg37 kinda sucks, I wish it was compatible with Tapatalk or had an actual standalone application on Android.

Has anyone here ever noticed the plug on our airboxes near the air inlet opening? I noticed that all the airboxes are plugged except for the nismo. Looks like they add a little open downward trumpet to the Nismos. Either for sound or for more air?

Nismo bottom. G37 top

^^^ Interesting... I had a quick look on ebay to see some 370/G37 air boxes.
This 07-09 G37 sedan has the "horn" like the Nismo version:
07 09 Infiniti G35 G37 Sedan Left AIR Cleaner Intake BOX | eBay

The G37 coupe has the plug:
09 10 Nissan 370Z G37 Coupe Right AIR Intake Cleaner Filter BOX Assembly | eBay

I saw that as well. I think that's just a mishap. My sedan has the plugs. Unless they put them on the vq35HR as well? Idk. That's weird haha

Mine has plugs too. Later today I will remove them and see if that allows a little intake growl. That would be nice!

It looks like Nissan changed the intake at some point. The "horns" connect to a Helmholtz resonator:

I popped mine out and I'm not sure if I could tell or not. By the shape of the horn I thought it might cup over something. Guess it's just a resonator. Good find!

My B13 Sentra had something similar but both boxes were down stream of the airbox and it was assumed they provided little reservoirs of air when whacking open the throttle in addition to sound modification. One of the openings was covered perfectly by a Gatorade cap.

Nice pics!
Thanks!

I did not see very many skylines on my trip - only an opportunity to grab a shot of that one coupe that parked right by me while i was at a crosswalk. Oh and the few sedans i did see were all taxis (so much for us railing the german cars for just being taxi's across the pond )

One thing that surprised me are the number of Lexus there - i thought they were all toyotas, but lexus is a big brand there. Plenty of fords there too which are LHD like ours which also surprised me ha!

I could have sworn i saw a white taxi which was a Infiniti badge'd Q, but it turned before i could get a better look.

I'm going back very soon - hopefully i'll get some better pics

What's up guys. I ditched the cold airs today. I was going to buy post MAF tubes but just made my own out of the AEMs. Going drop ins and getting retuned. I was going to do some stillen gen 2s but decided not to waste my money since I'll be going boost in the next year or so anyway.

What do you guys think, K&N or AFE dry? I can get the K&N's for 70 dollars down the street so I'm leaning towards that haha
