Car broken into tonight (front passenger window smashed)

I leased a G37 sedan 2 months ago and tonight while at the gym my car was vandalized with my front passenger window smashed and gym bag (with wallet in it) was stolen.

Since it is a lease, do I need to have infiniti replace my window or can any shop take care of this?

No need to visit the dealership....obviously you've learned a very hard lesson. Sorry for your loss. I work at a university and indirectly have responsibility for security...anything visible is fair game for thieving scum.

too bad. hope the repairs go well.

this is reason #41 why one should never leave ANYTHING out and visible inside a parked car. nothing. nada. niet. take everything with you or conceal it in the trunk.

You should tint your windows. The tint holds the glass in when it breaks and also makes your things less visible in your car.

Move to a better area helps more.

Uhh, I think a cheaper alternative is to tint windows. Moving to another area costs probably more than your car.

Even cheaper than tint: don't leave stuff visable.

Sucks to hear about your window. When you get some free time find a powerful vacuum and look for shards of broken class under the seats and even under the floor mats.

True that. Most people will leave stuff in cars though. Sometimes, thieves will break in even if there aren't any stuff in there. His wallet was hidden in his gym bag. Would that particular thief risk breaking into the car and not knowing whether his wallet was there or not and steal a bunch of dirty gym clothes? I don't think so.

And OP, why do you have this large Infiniti Sticker on your windshield tint strip advertising which dealer you leased the car from? That looks kinda....weird?

Yeah, that windshield sticker gots to go, unless that dealership is paying you advertisement fees.

The more expensive option not only good for longevity of your car, but also good for your own health too.
