Infiniti maintenance schedule

Infiniti maintenance schedule
I'm a new 2013 Infiniti g37s owner, and bought the car at 24k miles a month ago. I recently checked at a local Infiniti dealership that the last maintenance was at 18k miles. As we all know, there is a schedule 1 or schedule 2 maintenance at 22.5k, and the next maintenance is at 26k. My question is, when should I REALLY take this car in for maintenance? I'm not sure if or when the last owner did an engine oil change either.
A few things to mention:
-I live in a small island next to the ocean. Clean air, almost never dusty.
-About 65-70 degree weather.
-Drive in local traffic most of the time with occasional weekend freeway trips.
-Bought from a dealership that concentrates on g37's. Very high rating from hundreds of satisfied customers. (4.5/5 stars on yelp)
The dealership claims to thoroughly inspect each vehicle before purchasing and should I be worried they did not inspect engine oil?
Any additional information on Infiniti maintenance is appreciated. Thanks!

I've been doing my oil every 2500 miles. I bought mine used and didn't know what the previous owner did with it or how he/she maintained it. So the first month I bought new tires Michelin PSS, got an oil change, ordered R2C intakes, changed the belt, got the brake pads/rotors resurfaced. The car has been good to me. And recently got the update on my engine.

I do my own maintenance on two infiniti cars, stock G my wife drives I change oil every 6k miles, sometimes as much as 7500, just check dipstick once in a while to make sure oil level is good. If you have synthetic oil - it would actually run for 10k without a hitch but she doesn't drive many miles and a lot of start-stops so I change it sooner rather than later.
Modified turbo car I change oil every 3k. I also use 0w-40 mobil 1 or castrol 0w-30, these are the best quality oils available in US - $25 from walmart and mobil 1 or k&n oil filter - $10.

So what I'm getting from this is that I don't really need to take these cars to the dealer for maintenance if nothing is wrong, and I don't need to follow their recommended maintenance schedule? Only if something is wrong I should take it in, and that I need to change my engine oil every 3k miles or so.

I say in between oil changes (full synthetic 5k miles) I go through about 3/4 of a quart topping it off.
I like to keep the oil right below the full line on the stick. Especially with the high heat and high revs.

Your maintenance shcedule is a good guideline but there's a lot of unecessary stuff there which makes dealerships $$$. I use schedule 2 or whatever is the lowest number of maintenance work and I'm on my 3rd infiniti without any issues whatsoever. Also you do not have to follow their 3750 mile oil change interval. If you drive a good amount of highway miles and use synthetic - do 7500 intervals. For a lot of start\stops and cheap dyno oil - use their interval of 3750.

I set my reminder at 3500 miles and try to get it changed no later than 5k miles with synthetic. I have followed this procedure for every car I have ever owned (or responsible for). Thats over a dozen cars, all of them I have kept at least 10 years with well over 100k miles on them. Out of all these vehicles, none have ever burned oil, not a drop. Call it over-kill but it's worked for me and I'm not changing, cheap insurance.
