Wheel Specs

I have a 2014 AWD Q60S coupe. I purchased four 19x9.5+22 Kansei Tandems and planned to run 245/40/19 tires. When i went to Discount Tire today to get tires and have them mounted, they told me they wouldn’t fit. He told me they could put them on but couldn’t guarantee that it wouldn’t rub or make contact. In disbelief after everything I’ve seen, I took the car home, jacked it up, and put one of the wheels on. It looks like they definitely would’ve fit fine, but my problem is they poke out about an inch too wide. What specs should I look for to be flush with the fender, and have as little fender to wheel gap as possible? I’m on Swift springs, and have front upper control arms waiting to be put on. I’m on 19” stocks right now that came on the car.
Thanks in advance

even for coupes, 9.5" +22 needs some negative camber to fit and look good.

This is the same 19x9.5 +22 with stock suspension and 245/40R19 tires, and same poke as you mentioned

This is lowered with natural camber

Also, chain shops are usually less willing to install non OEM size tires. You might try an independent shop that is down to do it (provided you assume the fitment issue responsibility and don’t ask for your money back).

I had to do this when installing oversized all terrain tires on my 2017 Accord. It looks bitchin but definitely rubs, which I was fine with.

Ok, this one requires a pic. All terrain tires on an Accord? Going for an off road look?

Yeah something like that. It needed new tires and I decided to have fun with it. Installed a 2” strut spacer and 225/65r17 Cooper Discoverer tires. This car now has more ground clearance than most crossovers. 😆
