I must be the only person who prefers a ultra high performance all-season tire over a summer tire. They wear too fast and in my experiences are horrible when the ground gets wet, especially when the treads are low.
It depends on use case but I tend to agree. I just replaced the tires on the daily and went with pilot a/s 4’s vs 4S’s coming from a/s 3+’s.
For a daily the all seasons have more than enough grip.

I have AS/4 and honestly for an all season the grip is pretty good, start pushing the tire and it shows it's an all season. If you don't drive at the limit or do AutoX or Track the AS/4 is a phenomenal tire. Even after a few autocross events they still look brand new. I got them for cheap so that's why I went all season vs PS4S.
PSS5 is coming out soon (yea not PS5S.. lol) with some new interesting enhancements might be my next tire.
Wait a minute! You've got only 8k miles on a new set of Michelins Pilot Sport AS 3+ until they were done?! Wow!
Sadly yes, they only had about 3/32 tread left when I had them replaced. That was all just commuter highway driving too, no aggressive driving at all. The BMW’s staggered setup didn’t help since I couldn’t rotate tires. I think the Florida heat and roads ate them up also, maybe just got a bad set, or a combination of all of the above.
