Wider Tires for Rear 2012 Convertible

Hello,

Apologies if this question has been answered previously, but I can't find a direct answer and I'm reading the calculators and not seeing anything definitive.

I have a 2012 base convertible with staggered OEM setup (225/50/18 front, 245/45/18 rear).

Keeping the front as-is with the 225/50's, is there a wider option for the rear that won't cause problems? I'm fine with the speedometer being a bit off, but don't want to impact the ABS or other functions negatively.

Thanks in advance.

Your search fu needs work. Tens of billions of G37s rolling with 275/35-19 in the rear, including mine.

Mine has 18-8 wheels on front, 18-8.5 on rear. I’m trying to determine if there’s a wider tire that will still work with that wheel setup.

As long as you adjust the aspect ratio to retain stock or near-stock diameter, no reason you can run a 265. Tire Rack, for one, lists rim width specs for all the tires they sell. You can check there to see if the tire you want is cleared to run on your wheels. I used to run 255/45-18 on my rear Duckfeet, which are the same size as your vert wheels. I did it to manipulate my speedo.
