New Tires For IPL - Questions

Hey All,

My IPL needs some new tires and I have begun the complicated process of trying to pick some new ones. The OEM setup is the Potenza
Front: 225/ 45-19 and Rear: 245/ 40- 19.

My first question: are people using the stock profile or are they going to a slimmer profile like a 35 in the front and 40 in the rear? Other then a rougher ride and 'better looks' anything else I should know?

Second question: for the rear, am I able to squeeze a slightly wider tire on? Even if it is only a 265? Do I need to change anything else if so?

Lastly: probably the big debate, which tires should I get? I want a set of fairly high performance summer ones that can handle rain. The Potenzas treated me well and I liked them, but of course I hear so much about the Pilot Powers. Thoughts? Specific models would be good as well.
