2010 G37x Coupe stock 18 inch wheel tire choices?
So I'm in need of new tires and was wondering which square setup I can for my AWD system.
I accidentally got 235/50/18's on right now and might return them and change them because of the 1.5% difference from what the stocks were before.
I want to run 245/45/18 but not sure if they are too wide for my car. Any help and input would be greatly appreciated! Also found out that they only have a .66% difference.
Or lastly should I stick with the stock 225/50/18?

Thanks for the reply! Won't the 1.5% difference mess with the AWD system? Also how wide were your wheels? 8'' or 8.5''?
My stock wheels are 8” and have 245 on them.
235s won’t be a problem. The thing to watch for is if you choose to run staggered sizes front to rear. That’s when having different diameter tires the percentage is critical. A square setup where all 4 tires are the same size 1.5% will be fine.

Same problem
Im facing the same problem with mine, i already have 245/40/R18 winters from my last car and im wondering if its too wide or too thick. Also should i save my summers from my previous car, theyre 255/40/R18
The 1% diameter differential only applies if you run staggered wheels, you don't want to exceed that difference in rolling diameter for AWD cars.
I've seen 3% tossed about for overall change in rolling diameter, the ECU or TCU stores the OE value for whatever reason.

I switched to 245/45/18's on my stock 18/8's and they are wonderful! Couldn't be happier!
