Question on Wheel Repair and Painting

Hey all,
Never purchased used wheels before and wonder how difficult it is to have something repairs and how expensive it would be. Can you look at the attached pic and give me an idea?

Second topic, I'd like to go gunmetal color. Should I have them painted or powder coated? Pros/Cons of each? Thanks.

Powder coating is stronger than paint but costs more. Color choices are not as broad as spray cans but you will find an acceptable color in powder.

Thanks for the info. In the original post...the damage on that wheel, is that fairly basic and can be repaired fairly easily? Just looking for some opinions.

Any repairer will probably strip all the paint off the wheel. Silver is quite difficult match. If you've already stripped it, why not get the stronger coating? The only way to know for sure about cost differential is to search for wheel repair shops local to you.

There are mobile wheel repair vans that seem to get pretty good reviews, if you live in an area that has them I'd call and see what they say.
Here's one example
Dr. Wheel | Premium Wheel Repair Service
