TPMS lights not on after putting on new wheels/tires?

Hey guys, quick question, just put on a set of new wheels/tires with new tpms sensors installed in them. I assumed I would get my dash lit up with warning signs showing low tire since they are new sensors..Drove about 30 miles so far and still not showing any warning light? Sure it's something simple, just wanted to hear from guys who switched up to new setups. Thanks!

usually lights up with my snow tires/wheels by the end of my road, although once it was on a LONG delay (like 45 minutes of driving) ... i forgot about it and it surprised me like something was wrong with the engine, until i realized it was the damn TPMS warning

The first time it will take a long time to light up (if it's going to) about 40 miles or so IIRC, but once it does it will come on almost immediately thereafter.

Yeah I was wondering what is going on? I anticipated the light to come on right away once I took my OEM wheels off. But I haven't seen a light since and wondered if the new tpms sensors that came with my tire/wheel package worked fine. But this is good to hear, than I can take it to any tire shop and they can reprogram the new sensors to the car? Or do I not have to wait until the light comes on? Thanks again everyone

Does the TPMS light come on with the ignition on prior to starting?

No not that I see. I know the dash light works just a few weeks ago I was low in one tire and filled it up before I did the swap....

its not bad on the G, and not worth buying anotherset of TPMS sensors and programming them twice a year IMHO. just the small idiot light on the dash.

previous car had a big warning that had to be manually cancelled every time you started the car in addition to the idiot light.

Ummmm I dunno if some aren't reading the post. I'm saying my dash light is NOT ON after putting new wheel/tires with new TPMS sensors on......I'd think they would show up within 20-30 miles? I've driven about 40 and still no lights are on in my dash and I haven't went anywhere to have them reprogrammed to the car.....?

On my 2012 when I switch to my winters it takes about a week of driving to first come on. Might still show up yet.

like i said, it usually comes on in a few minutes, but one time it took a LOT longer.

if its not on after a few drives, then there might be a problem. as long as your tires are inflated properly, there is no danger.

Mine took 2-3 days to come on (2012).
