G37 Wheel Selection
Hello,
Still somewhat new here. Just got my 09 G Coupe in May. Already looking into starting my build process, first thing I am looking at right now is wheels or even possibly wheels and tires if needed. The wheels im looking at are the Varrstoen ES2 ES6 OR ES9's. I want to know what you guys first of all think would look best. Secondly I am new to wheel fitment and such I need to know what size you think I should get 18' 19' or 20' and what tires I would need to fit with those. I would like to go 18' because the stock tires are for 18s and it would save me a bit of money out the gate but I also am not sure if 18 is big enough for me. Let me know what you think. Also if you have 18s, 19s or 20s post em here and tell me which size you got.
Heres a link to the ES2s im really digging in matte black - ES2 ? Varrstoen Performance Wheels

If you don't plan to lower your G the 18s would get my vote, the 19s & 20s look more at home when you lower your suspension.
If you run those ES2s a 18x9.5 +30 will fit well, your OEM tires would be a stretch fit though. I'd consider keeping your original wheels & tires together and use them as your winter set, and get the new wheels w/ better tires for the warmer seasons. A 255/45/18 would be a good size for the 9.5" width wheels.

Take a look here if you want an idea of how certain wheels look, in varying sizes.

As the G is of the common 5x114.3 PCD and has fairly huge wheel wells, it's pretty easy to pick out something you'd like (or hard, if you hate options :P).

There is a forum on this board dedicated to wheels and tires. Have look there. You'll probably just as confused as now but you'll get an idea of what's out there and what we tend to buy.
[edit]Oh snap, I didn't notice bpChaos provided the link to that forum.
Pay attention to wheel offset, espcially if you intend to install a BBK package.
