I drive a 7-speed (autoslush) G37 Sport (Malbec Black). 2013. I hate the OEM duckfeet. I mean I really don't like them. Not only do they not look good, they are extremely heavy for being 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 at ~25-27lbs each. I have found these wheels, seen below, that aesthetically, I like. I like 10-spoke wheels and I think they flow with our body style.
And according to their website the above is the ONLY centercap that is usable with the above rim. So it seems Wedsport either places people in a catch 22 of center caps and wobbly wheels or no centercaps (and therefore exposed hubs to the elements) and non-wobbly wheels. Am I missing something? If not, can someone, anyone, recommend an alternative rim with similar looks, price and ballpark (20lb or less) weights?

I do NOT recommend wobbly wheels. Not sure how it works with Japanese cars but I would assume the same. I had a wheel that wasn't hubcentric on my Mercedes and there was a constant vibration (similar to unbalanced tire) and then at certain speeds it felt like the front end would rattle loose. Needless to say I got rid of them pretty quick.
There are a lot of choices that are light weight, similarly styled and hubcentric for these cars
I have the Wedssport SA10R 18x9.5 +38 on my sedan and I use the hub adapter rings and the centercaps that come w/ the SA10Rs without any issues whatsoever. Might contact Jason or Josh at Getyourwheels.com and see what they have to say. If those are indeed a problem w/ that particular wheel on the Infiniti hub might look at the wheels I have or the SA15, SA72, or the newest SA54R. Mine are about 20 lbs, have a very nice finish and nice concavity, FWIW I would buy them again in a heartbeat

I've run around without hub rings for a bit without problems. You have to get the wheels nearly to torque spec while they're off the ground, using those tapered lug nuts that you're supposed to use so that they square up.
I wouldn't recommend it though, but I had to in a pinch while they were on order(apparently Enkei uses a 72.8mm hub... it's dumb).

As my own personal experience.. I've broken so many of those plastic hub rings on my past cars that I sort of stopped using them. My previous car was a 2015 Lexus GS350 and used no hub rings with steel tapered lug nuts to tighten down my wheels. No issues throughout my commutes. My other previous car being a Acura TL and same thing with various 3pc wheels with cast centers.
