So my IPL wheels got scratched and I'm thinking about having them repainted. Is there a specific color code that I can use to match the original paint?

 

I've looked for the same thing and never found it. Ended up just sampling a few existing colors and picking a close one for touch ups. Hope someone here can enlighten us.

 

the dealer I've never seen a color code for wheels only body and trim...

 

this is a million dollar question...no one has been able to crack the color code..

 

a place that has a color eye(it's a camera that takes a picture to come up with a paint code) sherwin williams or Napa should have one

 

Found this Dupli-Color tutorial on how to apply their Hyper Silver rattle-can wheel paint system. It's a 2-step process with 2 base coats a 1-2 clear coat finish depending on the desirable look/protection.
Might be worth a try to rejuvenate your IPL wheels if they're in really bad shape with excessive curb rash and fading. Might even be good for touch ups and from what I understand, the other 19" sports wheels like the 10-spokes are also the same hyper silver.
