What kind of rims do i have?

Ok so, backstory i bought these rims before the winter (I live next to Boston), seller on craigslist described these as "Infiniti Winter Wheels" The whole set was 400 dollars tires and rims. The pictures on the add were HORRIBLE which leads me to believe is why no one else bought these, G37s are a dime a dozen out here. I brought the rims home cleaned them up and they looked great! The kid said they were actually powder coated, i do not know if i believe him because some of the paint is already chipping, i never curbed them.

Anyways i just brought my car to Infiniti for an oil change. The guy there said he liked my wheels, and started telling me they are some type of IPL Anniversary wheels and he was very surprised i got them for 400 dollars because he said a customer just bought them for almost 2000 just wheels.

The rims are 18s

What kind of Infiniti rims are these and how much are they honestly worth? Thank you

What he said. They are normally a light gunmetal color. They are indeed absurdly expensive if bought from the dealer, just like everything else.

^ +1.

$400 is a smoking deal if the wheels/tires were in good shape. they've been painted or powdercoated. perhaps they were stolen? ha ha.

years ago when i had my G35 i bought a set of the coupe 19" sport forged Rays with near-new OEM Bridgestones for ~$700CAD. unreal deal. they were "mint" in every sense, and came with TPMS. wondered if they were hot, but i met the guy at his house and everything seemed legit. didn't see a G35 coupe though. i sold those same wheels/tires for $1250, 3-4 years later. that remains one of my worst decisions to date. they would have looked great on the G37 too!

LOL! Somehow you are the person I most relate to on this site and I think comments like that are why..

But it wasn't this post in particular, it does seem to the thing on this forum to say. Honestly I can deal with this, but using the word "thread" when referring to tire "tread" is a NO NO for me!

Nice pickup on the wheels though OP. I think they would suit your car much better in the original or similar gunmetal color. Mod on!

Everyone has a flash point on inaccurate terminology.

Don't get me going with warped rotors. Just... don't.

Those are the same wheels that were being sold for $66 each a few weeks back. I was lucky enough to pick up a set as my original ones were curbed to hell from the previous owner.
