So, they're either super illegal wheels and are in the midst of being shut down and fined on top of lawsuits, or far more likely, are tested and perform just fine like all of the other replicas.

Furthermore, they've been an eBay seller for over 13 years with a VERY good rating, that's impossible to keep up if you are selling sketchy products or have bad customer service.

"I believe they are forged aluminum."

"We have our own suppliers on either cost (coast?), as well as a warehouse in the midwest. We could not pass through customs if our VIA was forged. If you'd like to feel more confident with purchasing, you can check our ebay seller ratings and feed back."

 

I seriously doubt they are forged, if they were they would be significantly more money. If you like the look and want to roll them, then give it a shot.

 

I can almost guarantee they're not forged of any kind, which furthers the sketchy that they are either: A - lying about their product or B - don't fully know their product...ratings aside that's still not good enough to convince folks that know a few things about wheels

 

Most definitely not forged at that price point. Also in the description box it says "Approx rim weight : 15" =16lb ; 16" =20lb ; 17"= 24lb ; 18"= 27lb; 19"=32lb; 20"=36lb; 22"= 44lb and 24" =52lb."



A forged wheel at 19" should be nowhere near 32 lbs, not even a cast wheel is that heavy. I know that's just a generic size chart, but just the fact that it's there.

 

Those are most definitely not forged so the guy you talked to doesn't really know what he's doing but, there are 100's of millions of cast wheels out on the road as we speak doing just fine.. For the record, a large majority of OEM wheels are cast, its not a bad word.

 

If it has the approx. weight on the side of the box like that, I think I know who the manufacturer is (Chinese company) and they make a whole lot of the knockoffs you see being sold here by vendors under lots of different "brand" names. I'm actually in talks with this company about something (can't disclose at this time) and basically, they can manufacture several grades of the same wheel.

I know most poo poo on Chinese wheels (with good reason) but very soon, they will be major OEM suppliers for U.S. and European companies and every bit as good as Japanese offerings from a quality and quantitative standpoint. The Japanese still lead in forging and casting technologies but the Chinese are not far behind. And many of their facilities are ISO certified now as well.

I know they're now doing forgings (not forgeries) for some wheels which are visual copies of already existing wheels from other manufacturers. XXR even has their own design that's forged, light and dirt cheap.

With that said, for most guys running on the street only, they're a good proposition when theft or curbing is a real possibility. Not to mention it ain't smart to spend $4K on wheels for a car which cost you $20K or even less unless you're able to afford it easily and have money in the bank to spare. Just not a financially sound decision. But neither is running a set of really cheap wheels which may fail. So...weigh the options carefully.

 

I'm almost exactly sure that is the Verde Axis V99. Looks like the eBay seller, or whoever s/he is getting it from, is replacing the center caps with a mirror-finished center cap that absolutely does not match the wheel at all. You can find the Verde Axis V99 on Amazon, but they are more expensive ($800 for a set, and that's with free Prime shipping). I'm not sure what the deal is with these eBay wheels, why they're cheaper? Possibly a cheaper replica of an already-cheap replica?

 

Like I said, they're all made in the same Chinese factories and rebranded here in the States. All you have to do is meet their minimum order requirements.

 

Pretty sure these are Fast FC04 rip offs. Those are actually Flowform wheels.
